About
A few bits about me.
I live in Croatia
Originally from the UK, I moved to Zagreb, Croatia, in 2016. It's a great city that felt like home from the moment I arrived, and the beautiful coast is just a short drive away.
I've been working remotely from my home office since my arrival for a range of clients in different countries. I began employment in a Croatian firm in October 2025.
I support Blackburn Rovers
I'm not religious. But I am when it comes to the super Rovers. It's both a blessing, but perhaps an unhealthy obsession.
From a young age, my dad took me to Ewood Park to watch Rovers. I was lucky enough to see the famous Premiership title win in the 1994/1995 season with great players such as Alan Shearer, Colin Hendry, Super Stuart Ripley, and so on. I was a season ticket holder from around the age of 8 until I left for Croatia in 2016, but I still follow them from afar and support the club where I can.
The only Croatian player to play for Rovers that I've seen live is Nikola Kalinić, but other great Croatians that I've seen in the flesh include Davor Šuker, Niko Kranjčar, big Luka Modrić, and I'm certain there are more that I can't remember.
I'm a sci-fi nerd
I'm into a bit of science-fiction, particularly Star Trek and The X-Files. Growing up, Star Trek gave me some inpsiration and belief that humanity could progress towards advanced space discovery, and The X-Files gave me a thrill and fear factor from too young an age! They are both hugely enjoyable series to me that I occasionally re-watch.
I wanted to be a pilot
My eyesight let me down at an early age, so the dream job of being a pilot was nipped in the bud early on. Nevertheless, I don't regret taking the path of software engineering, although I still hold a passive interest in aviation. If the flight attendant suddenly asks if anybody onboard can fly a plane, I might be able to step in!
